Army Men RTS PC Game Free Download Full Version

army man rts

Army Men RTS: does a good job of creating a real-time strategy game based on the classic line of plastic toys.

The Army Men franchise has been very successful for 3DO over the years, yet few Army Men games since the original have made it to the PC. It was probably only a matter of time before an Army Men installment let you control an entire brigade of those little green plastic men in a real-time strategy game, which is exactly what Army Men: RTS does. The game originally debuted on the PlayStation 2, but Army Men: RTS feels right at home on the PC. That's no doubt partly because it was created by Pandemic Studios, an experienced developer of real-time strategy games. Army Men: RTS maintains the broad appeal of the series, as its basic design makes it very easy for players to pick up and enjoy, though die-hard fans of the genre will find it frustrating at times.
You'll control a variety of green plastic troops, such as this flamethrower.
Army Men: RTS places the Green army under your direct control in a series of campaign missions and single-scenario battles called the "great battles." The campaign has you chasing after a rogue Green general who joined your archenemy, the Tan army. Your pursuit will place you on battlefields ranging from a backyard to kitchen countertops. The owner of the house that's the stage for the battles in Army Men: RTS must be quite messy--there are toys and garbage spilled all over the place. The mess is a benefit to you, though. Some of the things lying around can be used to harvest resources. There are two resources you'll need to construct an army: plastic and electricity. Plastic can be found in items like dog bowls and action figures, and you can even harvest some from dead units. Electricity can be acquired by finding things like watches or flashlights. Some missions also have power-ups that will boost troops' speed or firepower.
The campaign has varying objectives for each mission. The Green army will face challenges like having to destroy a Tan base, capture an infinite source of power, or escape from a basement infested with ants. Each mission also includes two secondary objectives called medal goals. Completing one goal will grant you a silver medal, while finishing both will give you a shiny gold medal. Accumulating medals will unlock new great battle scenarios. Completing one medal goal in a mission is easy, but getting both goals can be quite difficult at times. That's because the goals can conflict with each other. For example, one goal may be to finish the mission in a certain amount of time, while the other requires you to find every power-up on the map. You most likely wouldn't find all the power-ups in time on a mission you're not familiar with.
There's plenty of detail in the game's supersized environments.
Army Men: RTS plays like a standard real-time strategy game. While there are some missions where you have only a small squad of soldiers, most of them allow you to build a base and produce troops. In these cases, you'll start out with a bulldozer that is used to build structures like the HQ and the resource depot. The barracks produce infantry and the garage produces vehicles. All these buildings can be upgraded to produce advanced units. You can also build defensive structures like a sentry tower and an AA gun.
The units themselves are well prepared for the war against the Tan army. There are several types of infantry--the basic grunt, the grenadier, and the sniper are only a few of the little green men you'll command. There are also several types of vehicles like the tank and helicopter that support your infantry, and a medic vehicle can be deployed to repair units and buildings. You need to field a balanced army in order to survive encounters with the enemy. Grunts form the backbone of the Green army, but they get chewed up by just about anything if they don't have any backup. Part of putting together a balanced military force is knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the different unit types--for example, tanks can't fire at air units, mortar men can only attack buildings, and bazooka men are effective against vehicles. There's quite a bit to keep track of, but not so much that it gets confusing.
Resources can be extracted from mundane items, such as this toy robot.
The Green army will often employ hero units to get the job done. Cutscenes between every mission help add to the heroes' personalities. Sarge, the tough leader, is found in every mission. The other heroes are unique versions of other basic troops. Their presence adds character to the basic elements in the game, and as such it can be depressing to see them die in a mission.
Overall, Army Men: RTS does a good job of creating a real-time strategy game based on the classic line of plastic toys. Although not particularly challenging, the campaign mode will keep you busy for a while. The lack of a skirmish mode is a drag, but at least there is a multiplayer mode in which you can challenge your friends to a plastic duel. The bottom line is that the game is very easy to play and quite fun despite its limitations. Gamers who have had no RTS experience will be able to dive right in. Meanwhile, though hard-core RTS players won't find Army Men: RTS to be one of the more sophisticated games in the genre, they'll at least be able to enjoy its originality.

MAX Payne 3 PC Game with Crack Free Download Full Version

maxpayne 3

Max Payne 3 is an exhilarating shooter that grabs hold of you and doesn't let go. With savage gunplay and an absorbing personal story
Like it or not, times change. When Max Payne last appeared in a game in 2003, he blasted his way through countless enemies with reckless abandon, aided by his signature ability to slow time and deal graceful death. Today, reflecting modern sensibilities and perhaps his own age, Max takes things slower and makes judicious use of a new cover mechanic. Yet the addition of this contemporary element doesn't mean that Max Payne 3 plays like every other third-person shooter. Far from it. With its gripping narrative, brutal violence, and fantastic implementation of Max Payne's bullet-time ability, this is a distinctive and outstanding game through and through, and it's easily a worthy successor to the Max Payne games that preceded it.
Wherever you go, there you are. It's a truth Max Payne knows better than anyone. Fleeing his New York life to take a job working security for a wealthy family in Sao Paulo, the hard-drinkin', pill-poppin' Max finds that his demons come along for the ride. Though the details of the plot add up to your typical story of conspiracy and corruption, of the rich and powerful preying on the poor and helpless to become even more rich and powerful, the writing, acting, and presentation elevate this tale well above a boilerplate video game crime story.
It's hard to stay ambivalent once you see the horrors being suffered by the innocent here, and you'll likely want to see Max's quest for vengeance through to its conclusion just as badly as he does. Max reveals a complexity here not seen in earlier games, as he hits rock bottom and must either stay there or face his demons head-on and make himself anew. Other characters, too, reveal a surprising humanity. You might be tempted to write off Marcelo, the youngest brother in the wealthy Branco dynasty Max is hired to protect, as the shallow playboy he often appears to be. But in moments of disarming honesty, he reveals to Max a depth that lies beneath the facade he presents to the world.
Cutscenes use multiple moving panels to pay homage to the graphic-novel-style storytelling of previous games without feeling beholden to it, and the considered use of blurring and other visual effects echo Max's state of mind, perhaps making you feel as if you're the one who has been hitting the bottle a little too hard. James McCaffrey does an excellent job reprising his role as Max, bringing a wider range of emotions to a character who has previously often been one-note. The writing is terrific; Max's world-weary wit is as bone-dry as ever, and as he ruminates on things like loyalty and loss, much of what he says has the sound of hard-earned wisdom. Subtle touches throughout the game make Max seem convincingly alive, such as the complex look that crosses over his face at the start of one stage when bloodshed seems inevitable; it's as if he dreads what's coming, but does his best to mentally prepare himself for it.
In the context of the campaign, shootdodging typically looks like a stylish way to kill people. In multiplayer, however, you might see people belly flop gracelessly onto the ground, which can make things a bit comical. The action is wilder in multiplayer than in the campaign, as players scramble to kill each other, using their various bursts to aid their team or to wreak havoc on their opponents. It's all chaotic fun, and the option to start vendettas against players who have killed you twice in a row, which earns you more experience points for the next kill if you get them before they get you, brings a dynamic and personal aspect to the competition as you're often trying to seek out and kill one player in particular.
But while the multiplayer is enjoyable, the single-player campaign is a knockout. There's incentive to return to the campaign and conquer it on higher difficulty levels, or to tackle the leaderboards in Arcade mode and in New York Minute mode, in which you race through levels, earning time for each kill. Times change and people change, too; Max Payne isn't the same man by the end of this game that he is at the beginning. It's fitting, then, that the gameplay has also evolved, that Max needs to proceed with a bit more caution than he did in his younger days. They say the more things change, the more they stay the same, and one thing remains true: you can still count on the Max Payne name to deliver some of the most stylish, distinctive, pulse-pounding shooting around.

Avatar The Game Free Download Full Version

Avatar

Avatar James Cameron's: The Game is the official video game based on the film, and it takes you deep into the heart of Pandora.
Bigger doesn't mean better. Developer Ubisoft Montreal disregarded this mantra when creating James Cameron's Avatar, delivering a mediocre game loaded with unnecessary padding, rather than a tight and enjoyable package that could have gotten players excited about the upcoming film of the same name. In fact, if you're eagerly anticipating the upcoming Avatar movie, it's probably best that you avoid this bland and overlong third-person shooter altogether, because there's nothing fantastical or compelling about its story or characters. That isn't to say that Avatar is all bad. A branching story featuring two disparate factions makes this a two-games-in-one experience, so if you like wringing the last drop out of your $50, the single-player campaign might keep you busy for 15 hours or so. Unfortunately, while a few of those hours are entertaining, Avatar's action is too bland and tedious to justify the game's length, and a variety of bugs and bizarre design elements put a further damper on the fun.
Avatar takes place on the planet Pandora, which the human-controlled Resources Development Administration (RDA) is stripping of its resources--much to the dismay of Pandora's indigenous population, the blue-skinned Na'vi. Meanwhile, the RDA has established a way of transferring a human's consciousness into an artificially created human/Na'vi hybrid called an avatar. You play as Ryder, an RDA operative who soon finds himself (or herself, if you choose a female persona) in over his head as he discovers the consequences of the RDA's destructive presence on Pandora. About an hour into the campaign, you'll be faced with a choice: side with the RDA, or live as an avatar and take your chances with the Na'vi. Yet no matter which path you meander down, you'll meet a series of unmemorable characters, played by unexceptional voice actors who deliver their poorly written lines without a trace of enthusiasm or urgency.
If you go the way of the RDA instead, you won't wield any melee weapons and will instead shoot your way to victory. You've got a pair of pistols to get you through if the better guns run out of ammo, but they're all but useless; luckily, your shotgun, flamethrower, and other weapons seem appropriately powerful, if not exactly satisfying to use. Enemies that melt into the background and inconsistent hit detection make it feel like you're spraying bullets around willy-nilly much of the time, and humanoid enemies are too stupid to make shooting them exciting. Your foes often will ignore comrades falling over dead right in front of them, engage harmless creatures and ignore you as you pick them off, and walk directly into walls and continue to walk in place. Not that AI characters are the only ones prone to technical weirdness. You might get stuck in a crevasse while flying a banshee, fall into an inescapable fissure, or dismount from a direhorse directly into the geometry of the plant right next to it and be unable to get out.
Avatar's multiplayer modes aren't quite as useless as Conquest, letting up to 16 players compete in a variety of modes like Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, and Capture the Flag. The multiplayer suite feel less like a throwaway than you might expect for a movie tie-in but the factions play so differently that weird imbalances become quickly apparent. A Na'vi player can crush an RDA player with a single swipe of his club, while an RDA player can jump in a mech suit and mow Na'vi down without much fuss. (Though oddly, the swarm of insects Na'vi players can unleash make short work of those big hunks of metal.) The factional differences make for some initially appealing variety, but the disparity is too great--and the basic mechanics too bland--to support long online sessions. The mechs don't feel heavy enough to make them fun to pilot, and the cavorting camera renders buggies as uncomfortable to drive in multiplayer sessions as they are in the campaign.
One of Avatar's main selling points is its use of 3D technology, so if you own a display with the right capabilities, you may get a kick out of seeing Avatar pop out of your screen. Yet even if you're one of the few lucky enough to see the game this way, no screen yet has the capability of making James Cameron's Avatar: The Game play any better than it does. It's not a bad game, and portions of it are competent, if not quite remarkable. But Avatar wears thin quickly, and the story is too fragile to compensate for the deficiencies.

Having just made it back onto the streets of Liberty City after a long stretch in maximum security, Tommy Vercetti is sent to Vice City- Undercover 2 by his old boss, Sonny Forelli. Sonny wants his money back, but the biker gangs, Cuban gangsters, and corrupt politicians stand in his way. Most of Vice City- Undercover 2 seems to want Tommy dead. It will be available exclusively for PlayStation(R)2 and is expected to hit retail shelves in the United States on October 22nd. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City- Undercover 2 will surpass the unprecedented gameplay, cinematic graphics and immersive audio experience that gamers associate with Grand Theft Auto 3, which was released in October 2001 and has rapidly become the fastest selling, highest grossing game for PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system to date, with global sales exceeding 6 million units. Rockstar Games will release additional information about the game's content in July, but the following details are clear: It's an entirely new game set in the '80s, the location is Vice City, and the vibe is glamour, power and corruption...
Sam Houser, the executive producer of the Grand Theft Auto- Undercover 2 franchise and president of Rockstar Games, commented, "The success of Grand Theft Auto 3 has made us very proud, but it has also motivated us enormously. The work currently being done by our development and production teams in Edinburgh and New York is going to surpass the efforts of last year, as we set our sights on making an even more revolutionary gaming experience. This will be reflected in the size of the game, the scope of the gameplay, the extent of the gameplayer's freedom, the quality of production value and the all-important sense of style."
Les Benzies, the producer of Grand Theft Auto- Undercover 2 games, noted, "Although it may appear to be a challenge to develop a game superior to Grand Theft Auto 3, our progress to date on Vice City makes me highly confident that we can deliver a truly innovative game." Kelly Sumner, Take-Two Interactive Software's Chief Executive Officer added, "Grand Theft Auto 3 has become the "must-have" title for PlayStation(R)2 and is appropriately regarded as a landmark in interactive entertainment. We are delighted with the plans for Vice City- Undercover 2, and are totally committed to supporting Rockstar's creative efforts and investing in the development and marketing approach that made Grand Theft Auto 3 such a tremendous success."

Considering its elite heritage, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 has a lot to live up to. The Command and Conquer series essentially defined 2D real-time strategy on the PC and developer Westwood Studios continues to be a leader in that genre.

The Red Alert 2 episode takes place some time after the original Red Alert. Stalin is dead and has been replaced with the new "evil leader," General Romanov. Some of the action takes place close to home for the Allies in this episode, with Soviet forces invading New York City and Washington D.C. As Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 sticks to the same basic storyline and gameplay design while featuring new weapons and recognizable battlefields, real-time strategy fans should find it a worthy addition to Westwood's Command & Conquer series.
